Jérémy Hervelin joined the ZEW Research Unit “Labour Markets and Social Insuranc in September 2024. His research lies at the intersection of labor and education economics, with expertise in applied econometrics and policy evaluation, including randomized field experiments.
Jérémy Hervelin studied economics in France. He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Reims and a Master's degree in Economics (Research track) from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He earned his PhD in Economics from CREST – Polytechnic Institute of Paris, with a focus on school-to-work transitions and public policies. Since 2019, he has been a Research Fellow at the Chair “Sécurisation des Parcours Professionnels,” a joint research initiative by academic and public institutions including CREST, Science Po Paris, the French Ministry of Labor and the French Public Employment Agency. Since 2024, he has also been a Research Fellow at the College for Interdisciplinary Educational Research (LERN-CIDER), a joint initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the Jacobs Foundation, and the Leibniz Association, which supports outstanding junior researchers in interdisciplinary educational research.
He has published in international peer-reviewed journals such as the European Economic Review and Empirical Economics, and contributed to policy reports and academic books. He has held temporary teaching positions at various institutions, including Sciences Po Paris, ENSAE Paris, CY Cergy Paris University, Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Paris Dauphine.
